Welcome to the NSW South West Division

Overview

The South West Division of the Institute is comprised of Medical Scientists employed by both Public and Private Sectors. The distribution of the area is quite large and it encompasses from the Victorian border to the south and West to Broken Hill, north to the Northern Tablelands and also includes the ACT.

The main activity of the Division is the Annual Conference which is held on the third weekend of May each year, rotated between the cities of Orange, Wagga Wagga and Canberra. This conference is made up of presentations from the different disciplines of Pathology and the Medical Sciences. It is a great way to meet and share information from our fabulous industry. The social aspect of the Dinner held on Saturday night of the conference is one of the best ways to socialise and meet your peers. It is centred on a dress theme and turns out to be a fun night by all attending.

One day workshops are also held sometimes at other cities that are not on the Conference rotation.

AIMS SW Division currently holds a seat on the AIMS Advisory Council.
