Call for APACE Committee Members 

We are excited to announce a call for APACE Committee Members. The APACE (Australasian Professional Acknowledgement of Continuing Education) scheme is a voluntary program for recording professional development activities. The APACE CPD program was started by AIMS in the early 1990's for AIMS members to record continuing professional development activities (CPD).

The APACE CPD Committee is one of many AIMS standing committees allowing members and stakeholders to support the activities of AIMS. We are seeking current members who actively participate in APACE but are also interested in joining this committee to submit an expression of interest.

Applications close 31 July 2025. There are four committee positions available.

Position Overview:

The APACE Committee Members assist and support the functions and activities of the APACE committee including reviewing completed APACE cycle activities of members (a few times a year) and reviewing APACE promotional material and website content. As a member of the APACE committee, you will also promote the AIMS APACE CPD scheme and CMLS (Certification of Medical Laboratory Science) within your networks and encourage colleagues to participate in the scheme.

As an APACE Committee Member you will be required to participate in the following:

• APACE Committee one hour meetings - six times a year (bi-monthly);
• The APACE ratification review process of completed APACE cycle activities - up to four times a year for two hours.

The term of office for committee members is for two years.

Criteria for Selection:

To be considered for the committee, candidates must be a current financial member of AIMS and actively participate in the APACE CPD scheme.
