On Wednesday 6 November 2024, AIMS President Professor Denise Jackson chaired the 2024 AIMS Annual General Meeting which was conducted virtually via Zoom.

At this years AGM, the results of the recent electronic ballot for President and Elected Directors were announced.

AIMS CEO Sarah Just announced that Professor Denise Jackson (VIC) has been re-elected President by voting members for the 2024-2026 term of the Board.

The results of the ballot for the 3 roles of Elected Director for the AIMS Board were also announced. The Elected Directors for the 2024-2026 term, as voted for by members, are;

Ms Samantha Austin (WA), Ms Anne-Marie Christensen (QLD) and A/Prof Abishek Santhakumar (NSW).

A meeting of the AIMS Advisory Council was convened prior to the AGM and Professor Jackson announced the following members as Advisory Council nominees to the Board for the next term;

Mr Neil Horton (NSW North Coast Division), Mrs Ailie Ross (QLD Tropical Division) and Mrs Danielle Morse (Tasmania Branch).
