VIC Branch: The A to Z of Microbiology Series - August 2026

The AIMS Victorian Branch is excited to launch The A to Z of Microbiology—a brand new monthly webinar series designed to bring the microbiology community together to learn, share knowledge and earn CPD.

Held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:00–7:00 pm AEST, the series offers a fun, engaging and accessible professional development opportunity for medical laboratory scientists, technicians, students and anyone with an interest in microbiology.

Each webinar explores a different letter of the alphabet through three concise 15-minute presentations, covering a diverse range of microbiology topics. Sessions may include organisms, interesting case studies, laboratory diagnostics, molecular microbiology, bench pearls, emerging pathogens and "back to basics" concepts.

Whether you're looking to expand your knowledge, discover new techniques or hear about fascinating cases from laboratories across Australia, The A to Z of Microbiology has something for everyone. We also hope this series encourages microbiologists from laboratories around the country to share their expertise and experiences.
